The play is set in a terminal of LaGuardia Airport, May 15th, 1953. LaGuardia Airport, situated in Queens, is the smallest of the three airports serving New York. Originally named the New York Municipal Airport when it opened in 1939, it was later rededicated LaGuardia in 1947 after former mayor Fiorella LaGuardia who was also one of the main proponets of the site.
